History
Since its incorporation in 1978, PT Sona Topas Tourism Industry’s business activities have cantered around domestic and international travel related services. Many tourists take the opportunity to do a bit of duty free shopping during their holiday was back grounded the company led to setting up a chain of duty-free outlets through two subsidiaries, PT. INTI DUFREE PROMOSINDO (IDP) in 1990 and PT. Arthamulia Indah (AMI) in 1993.
For the first time PT. INTI DUFREE PROMOSINDO was located in Jl. Raya Kuta 84 Kuta – Bali, because over the last few years, this retailing operation has been extremely successful, encouraging and consequently the company is now better known as a duty-free operator in Indonesia rather than as one of the leading travel agents in the country, which proved in March 1997 the company legally had been moved and operating in Bali Galeria, the long awaited one-stop shopping center in the city’s busiest spot Jalan By Pass Ngurah , Kuta. Bali Galeria is a modern shopping mall with a tropical architecture and the largest shoppers paradise for tourist in Bali. It comprises two main buildings occupying an area of 6 hectares. The first building is a two storey shopping center facing the main road occupying a total of 15,000 square meters. In this building, visitors can find IDP’s largest duty-free shop. Next main building functioned as mall, located in the Bali Galeria Complex behind the duty-free outlet which belongs to PT.
